Amid fears of impending US attacks and rising regional conflicts, Iran is engaging in diplomatic talks with Pakistan and Qatar to de-escalate tensions and potentially negotiate a agreement with the US. While Iranian President Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Araghchi participate in high-level talks and attend the UN General Assembly, Tehran has submitted new conditions to restart talks with Washington, even as maritime disruptions and attacks on tankers continue in the Strait of Hormuz.
